Financial Education Workshop Series - July 13,20,27

Cooperative Federal, Syracuse’s Community Development Credit Union, will once again be teaching a 3-session financial education class in partnership with P.E.A.C.E. Inc on Tuesday evenings, July 13, 20, and 27. Classes will run from 5:30-7:30 pm at Carousel Mall, next to Bonton. Registration is limited; call 424-0579 for a spot in the workshop.

The first session focuses on budgeting, including tips for tracking expenses and finding budget busters. In the second session we cover Credit Building which includes an in depth analysis of credit reports and scores, and a one-on-one credit counseling session. During the last class, our trainers will help participants traverse the ins and outs of getting a loan, with lessons on installment loan basics, calculating loan payments, and loan applications and making a case to your lender.

Finally, all students who complete the class can also receive ongoing one-on-one counseling related to credit and homeownership through our HUD-approved Housing Counseling Program.
