Cooperative Federal's Four In-School Branches
Cooperative Federal has branches at three Syracuse City School District High schools and one K-8 school. Each school's program is slightly different but they all have one primary goal, encourage students to learn the habit of savings from an early age.
Falcons' Trust at The George W. Fowler Public Service Leadership Academy
Falcons' Trust was opened in 2009. Our hours of operation are Fridays from 10:26 until 12:42. We provide savings accounts, direct deposit for paychecks, and financial counseling and advising. We also provide opportunities for students to work in our branch and learn skills related operating a financial institution.
Henninger High Savings at Anthony A. Henninger High School
Henninger High Savings has been open since 2013. We provide savings accounts, direct deposit for paychecks, and financial counseling and advising. We work with students at Henninger to learn marketing skills while promoting the branch at their school.
Nottingham Federal at William Nottingham High School
Nottingham Federal is our newest branch opened in 2014. We provide savings accounts, direct deposit for paychecks, and financial counseling and advising. Students with special needs learn career readiness skills interning in our branch and students in Nottingham's DECCA program provide their marketing expertise to promote our branch.
Savings Days at Edward Smith K-8 School
The Savings Days program has been operating at Ed Smith since 2007. Each week parent volunteers collect deposits from students that have accounts at Cooperative Federal. For the 2014-2015 school year we will be revamping this program so that we reach more students at Ed Smith and get more students saving!
There are many ways to participate in this program. See the links below if you want to get involved with helping students learn to save!
