Due to I-81 construction and roadwork, our last day at 516 Burt St will be Friday, June 5. We are sorry for the inconvenience! CoopFed is working together with Syracuse Housing Authority to identity a new location for our office. In the meantime, please visit our other locations.
To survive and thrive after high school, young people in Syracuse need relevant financial education and hands-on experience. Our credit union engages teens and young adults through targeted banking programs, interactive education, and leadership development.
Students participating in the Summer Youth Employment Program with CNY Works and the City of Syracuse can open special Student Accounts at Cooperative Federal, including debit cards, direct deposit, and mobile banking.
We partner with schools, community centers, and youth development programs to offer a variety of financial education classes specially tailored toward children, adolescents and teens, including Mad City Money: an interactive event for high school students studying personal finance.
Young people interested in economic justice, community organizing, and finance can join the Youth Advisory Board - influencing the credit union’s education and outreach strategies and working directly with staff and volunteers on the Youth Engagement Committee.
