Sending money to another country is easy and affordable when you use Syracuse Cooperative Federal Credit Union’s VIGO/IRnet international wire transfer service.
Sending an International Wire Transfer with VIGO/IRnet
With VIGO/IRnet, you can send money around the world for costs lower than traditional wire transfers. The funds can be picked up at a VIGO agent’s office, participating banks, or depending on the country, deposited directing into the person’s bank account that you are sending the money to.
As with a domestic wire transfer, before you can send you’ll need some information about the receiving financial institution. We recommend that you, or the person you are sending the wire transfer to, contact the receiving financial institution for their wiring information. Generally, you’ll need the following:
- Name, address, and account number of the person receiving the transfer
- Name, routing number, city, state and any special wiring instruction of the receiving person’s financial institution
When you have the information, call us at (315) 473-0220 or visit our Eastside or Southwest Offices to send your wire transfer.
