Treehouse Saver Accounts for Kids
Young savers under the age of 14 can open their very own accounts with Cooperative Federal. Our Treehouse Saver accounts have the same rates, terms, and deposit and withdrawal privileges as other basic savings, but with dividends earned on balances of just $5 or more.
All Treehouse Savers get a handy passbook to record their deposits and watch their savings grow!
Here's what you need to open a Treehouse Account:
- Bring at least $7. That's $5 for the minimum deposit and $2 for the New Member Fee.
- Children 10 and under must have a parent or guardian as joint owner on the account. Children need to have a birth certificate and Social Security or ITIN card; parents/guardians must have a valid, government-issued photo ID and Social Security or ITIN number.
- Children over the age of 10 can open accounts on their own. They need to have a birth certificate and Social Security or ITIN card.
Stop by any office to open an account, or contact Member Services to make an appointment. Call (315) 473-0220.
